Bear Rinehart Inks Publishing Deal with Creative Nation and Pulse Music Group

Along with our partners at PULSE Music Group in Los Angeles, we are proud to announce the addition of songwriter Bear Rinehart to our music publishing roster! Rinehart is the Grammy-nominated frontman of the South Carolina rock band NEEDTOBREATHE. As a founding member of the Atlantic Records act, Rinehart has been apart of multiple chart topping releases including H A R D L O V E which debuted at #1 on the Billboard Top Albums, Top Current Albums, Top Rock Albums, and Top Alternative Albums charts, and #2 on the Billboard 200. Rinehart also has performing and writing credits on the RIAA-Certified Gold single, "Brother (feat. Gavin DeGraw)." Outside of NEEDTOBREATHE, Rinehart has multiple cuts across a variety of genres and resides in Franklin, TN with his family.

“I've always wanted to work with someone that has an animal name. This felt like the perfect opportunity. All jokes aside, I was initially impressed with Bear’s powerful and emotional voice and when I really dove into his songs, I discovered his lyrics and melodies were just as compelling. His work ethic and songwriting style are a great complement to the Creative Nation team and we are excited to work alongside him," Creative Nation's Co-Founder and CEO, Beth Laird, says.

“I am looking forward to working alongside the insanely talented group of writers, musicians, and artists at Creative Nation and PULSE Music Group. The reach and impact of this team's work extends far beyond Nashville, and it's an honor to join their ranks,” Rinehart says.

"Bear is impressive not only as an artist but also as a songwriter and artist collaborator. We believe he has a strong future ahead. His classic sensibilities paired with his natural depth and soul make this an incredibly exciting partnership for us," PULSE Music Group's President of Creative, Maria Egan, says.

Creative Nation Extends Publishing And Management Deal With Lori McKenna

NASHVILLE, TENN (September 20, 2018) - Nashville based music company, Creative Nation, has extended their publishing and management agreements with Grammy Award winning songwriter, Lori McKenna. McKenna has been a writer and artist at Creative Nation since April 2015.

“It's been a pleasure to work with Lori over the last three years and we are excited to have the opportunity to continue to expand upon what we've built together. Lori is a songwriter's songwriter and it's been incredible to watch what she has accomplished. She continues to set the bar and carve her own path as a songwriter and artist,” Creative Nation’s Co-Founder and CEO, Beth Laird, says.

“I'm excited to continue on with my Creative Nation team of people who work so hard to make sure my time in music is spent simply making music. My life in music has always surpassed my dreams of it and that has so much to do with Beth and Luke and the amazing people that make up Creative Nation,” McKenna says.

As a songwriter, McKenna made history in 2016, becoming the first woman ever to win the Country Music Association's Song of the Year two years in a row thanks to co-writing Little Big Town's "Girl Crush" and penning Tim McGraw's #1 "Humble And Kind" solo. Both songs also clinched back-to-back Grammy wins for Best Country Song. In 2017, she became the Academy of Country Music's first female Songwriter of the Year. Her other hits include “Cry Pretty” (Carrie Underwood), “I Want Crazy” (Hunter Hayes), “God Made Girls” (RaeLynn), and “Sober,” "Your Side of the Bed," and "Happy People" (Little Big Town). Her catalog also includes songs recorded by Faith Hill, Keith Urban, Reba, Alison Krauss, Brandy Clark, The Cadillac Three, Jillian Jacqueline, Ashley Monroe, and Eli Young Band, among others.

As an artist, her 2016 release, The Bird & The Rifle, netted three Grammy nominations, along with Americana Music Association nods - all firsts for McKenna. The Tree, her latest and much-anticipated eleventh studio album, was produced by Dave Cobb and released earlier this year. The album takes one of McKenna's signature themes - family - and builds a tapestry of experiences she has lived and overheard, been told and dreamed up, to create a stunning ode to life's defining relationships.
