<image:title>ABOUT</image:title>
<image:caption>At Creative Nation, we follow the lead of the creator to develop careers that last. Beth and Luke Laird founded Creative Nation in Nashville in 2011, with the ideas that quality should always outweigh quantity and no two musical minds are exactly the same. Through publishing, management, artist development, and records, we serve our songwriters and artists in ways that support their unique visions. Luke is a Grammy-winning producer and ACM Songwriter of the Year who has written 24 no. 1 singles. Beth is an entertainment industry veteran with experience at BMG Music Publishing, Windswept Music Publishing, and BMI, and honors including inclusion in Billboard’s Country Power Players. Together, Luke and Beth have led Creative Nation to shepherd 24 no. 1 songs, more than 60 radio singles, critically acclaimed albums, and more, including back-to-back no. 1 country and pop songs with Sam Hunt’s “Hard to Forget” and Harry Styles’ “Watermelon Sugar.” At Creative Nation, old rules don’t apply – unless you’re talking about the golden one.</image:caption>

<image:title>Writer | Kassi Ashton</image:title>
<image:caption>With a little bit of rock, a hell of a lot of soul, and a throwback R&B groove, MCA Nashville’s Kassi Ashton is set to take the music world by storm. “Kassi Ashton is in line for Nashville domination, and she’ll do it her way – unapologetically,” proclaims PEOPLE Magazine. Kassi brings a whole new attitude to country music. The California, Missouri singer/songwriter touched down with a string of critically acclaimed tracks released by UMG Nashville in conjunction with Interscope Records. Her introductory release “California, Missouri” stirred widespread critical acclaim from Taste of Country, CMT, The Boot, and many more. Named “Who to Watch” by Huffington Post, The Tennessean, and radio personality Bobby Bones. Rolling Stone lauds her as “a devilish songwriter who isn’t afraid to flip convention on its head,” while Refinery29 claims, “she blends pop aesthetics with a presence doused in no-fucks-left-to-give authenticity.” PAPER Magazine calls her “the next big country superstar,” and American Songwriter notes, “Ashton brings powerful storytelling and a sense of poetry in every release.” Kassi defies convention and defines her signature style with confessional, catchy storytelling and dynamic delivery on songs including her latest, “I Don’t Go Back,” and critically acclaimed releases “Dates In Pickup Trucks,” “Heavyweight,” “California, Missouri,” “Hopeless,” “Violins,” and more. This year, Kassi continues to disrupt the country scene with her long-awaited debut album, Made From The Dirt, released September 20th to praise from People, Rolling Stone, Billboard, and more. The album dishes hard-won lessons rooted in tangled family ties, relationship tussles, and wrenching grief, wrapped up in hook-heavy, country-tinged singalongs, where Kassi's husky, soulful tones will stop you dead in your tracks.</image:caption>

As a child, he recognized an innate predisposition for singing and songwriting even with “moderate to severe hearing loss.” Wearing hearing aids since the age of two, he nevertheless gravitated to music from the first moment he could. At 16, he auditioned for NBC’s The Voice and ended up on Team Pharrell Williams. His appearance on the show boosted his confidence and after his final high school test, he bolted straight to Nashville. His independent single “Strangers” racked up 1 million-plus Spotify streams as he logged countless sessions around Music City, balancing a job at Lowe’s to stay afloat. In 2019, he caught the attention of Creative Nation and signed a publishing and development deal. Co-writing with the likes of Parker Welling, Jamie Moore, Josh Jenkins, and Heather Morgan, he spent the next year cultivating his sound, drawing equally from those formative gospel influences, classic country, and homegrown bluegrass with a twist of modern pop. He forged a close connection to audiences on his 2021 self-titled debut EP and with several singles along the way, including “Blue Collar,” “Fight,” and “Makes A Man,” he has no plans of stopping now.</image:caption>

<image:title>Writer | Lori McKenna</image:title>
<image:caption>From her home base in Boston, Lori McKenna has carved out an enviable niche for herself as one of Nashville's most in-demand songwriters, all while maintaining a prolific and remarkably consistent career as a solo artist. The release of her anticipated album, 1988, adds to a series of landmark years for McKenna and follows three widely acclaimed albums: 2016’s The Bird & The Rifle, 2018’s The Tree and 2020’s The Balladeer, of which the Associated Press praised, “McKenna has by now long established herself as one of the best songwriters working in any genre. And she does it again and again,” while The Tennessean asserted, “one of the sharpest pens in modern country and folk songwriting.” In addition to her career as a solo artist, McKenna continues to enjoy success as one of the music industry’s most in-demand songwriters. In 2017, McKenna became the first woman to win the ACMs Songwriter of the Year award, and the first woman to win the CMA Song of the Year award two years in a row. She also won back-to-back Grammys for Best Country Song with “Girl Crush” (Little Big Town) in 2016 and “Humble and Kind” (Tim McGraw) in 2017. 2019 saw the beginning of a five-year run for McKenna headed back to the Grammys. She was nominated for Best Country Song for “When Someone Stops Loving You” (Little Big Town) in 2019, as well as Best Country Song for “It All Comes Out In The Wash” (Miranda Lambert) and Song of the Year for “Always Remember Us This Way” (Lady Gaga) in 2020. She won her third Best Country Song for co-writing “Crowded Table” (The Highwomen) in 2021, and was nominated for overall Song of the Year for co-writing “A Beautiful Noise” (Alicia Keys) in 2022, and nominated for Best Country Song for co-writing “I Bet You Think About Me (Taylor’s Version) (From the Vault)” (Taylor Swift) in 2023. Most recently, she was nominated for the CMA Song of the Year with Parker McCollum’s “Burn It Down.” In addition to writing songs for a multitude of award-winning artists — including Hunter Hayes, Faith Hill, Miranda Lambert, Little Big Town, Reba McEntire, Tim McGraw and Carrie Underwood — McKenna also co-wrote “Always Remember Us This Way,” which was featured in the Oscar-winning 2018 film “A Star Is Born.”</image:caption>

<image:caption>Barry Dean takes nothing for granted. Even after earning a GRAMMY nomination for Tim McGraw's "Diamond Rings and Old Barstools" and topping charts with four No. 1 singles, he remains awestruck each time he hears a song he wrote on the radio. Dean still can’t help but think of how he seemed destined to work a 9-to-5 in Kansas––a fate that now seems preposterous, given his track record: two No. 1 singles for Little Big Town, "Pontoon" and "Day Drinkin'"; "Think a Little Less," which topped the charts for Michael Ray; "Heartache Medication" which hit #1 for Jon Pardi; Ingrid Michaelson's Top 40 smash "Girls Chase Boys"; and an ever-growing list of country and pop successes prove Dean is doing exactly what he was made to do.</image:caption>

<image:caption>Steve Moakler is a country music singer/songwriter with Pennsylvania roots. More than 15 years into his career, with a series of acclaimed albums, co-written hits with Dierks Bentley, Jordan Davis, Jake Owen, Ben Rector, Reba McEntire, and more (including Jordan Davis’s recent #1 single, “I Ain’t Sayin’”), and cross-country tours with Old Dominion, Willie Nelson, Dan + Shay, and Tim McGraw and Faith Hill in the rearview, his most recent album Make A Little Room presents a recipe for something different: a life of unforgettable moments, savored in the spaces between. Writing or co-writing all 10 songs on Make A Little Room, what emerged was a set steeped in uncommon wisdom, and delivered with a spark of enlightened electricity. Just as spacious in approach as it is in theme, it features an easy-going, rootsy, front-porch pop spirit. His 7th studio album features the title track and lead song, “Make A Little Room,” as well as tracks “Let’s Go To The Lake,” “Numbered,” and “’You Being You.”</image:caption>

He spent the last decade as a road musician for artists such as Jon Pardi, Jordan Davis, Ryan Hurd, Cassadee Pope, Rodney Atkins, and more. Though he has been writing songs for years, when gigs shut down in 2020 due to the pandemic, Bahr took intentional time to write, record, and produce his debut EP, Collecting Dust. On the heels of its release, Bahr signed a publishing, management, and record deal with Creative Nation in 2021. Bahr currently splits his time between writing for others, touring, and writing/producing his own music. He released his self-produced, debut, full-length album, Half Circles, in 2023, in addition to his newest EP, Dreamless Sleep, in 2024.</image:caption>

<image:title>Writer | Ben West</image:title>
<image:caption>With a career that has touched three of America’s great musical cities, the top of the pop charts and even the Super Bowl halftime show, songwriter/producer Ben West has turned an unconventional “passion-first” approach into success across country, pop, indie rock, and more. A Detroit-area native schooled by Motown’s legendary gospel and R&B players, West first found a voice working on L.A.-based sync projects for major networks like ABC, Disney and others before scoring a 2x Platinum, Top 10 Billboard hit with P!nk’s “Try” in 2012. Co-written with late friend and Grammy winner busbee, the experience pointed West toward Nashville and a decade-plus of growing influence in the fabled Music City. Embracing the alt-rock tendencies of a true ‘90s kid, West’s comfort around darker themes and ability to fill creative gaps has led to a series of high-profile successes as both a writer – Leon Bridges, “Ain’t Got Nothin’ On You” (2024); Lori McKenna, “The Tunnel” (2023); Brett Eldredge, “Songs About You” (2022 album title track); Blake Shelton, “Neon Time” (2021); Carly Pearce, “Show Me Around” (2021); Kelly Clarkson, “I Dare You” (2020); Lady A, “Hurt” (2017) – and as a producer. His recent production credits include Ella Langley’s “Choosin’ Texas”, which is making history as the first song by a woman to triple up at #1 on the Billboard Hot 100, Hot Country Songs and Country Airplay charts at the same time. He also produced emerging country artist Stephen Wilson Jr.’s “Gary” and “Stand By Me (Live at the Printshop)”, the latter of which has gone viral overnight. He produced the entirety of Laci Kaye Booth’s The Loneliest Girl In The World (2024) and Stephen Wilson Jr.’s søn of dad (2023), as well as Patrick Droney’s Subtitles for Feelings (2023), and acclaimed tracks by Caitlyn Smith (“Alaska,” 2023); Brett Eldredge (“Hideaway,” 2022); Chris Tomlin (“The Answer,” 2022); Hailey Whitters (“The Ride” feat. Jordan Davis, 2021); Ashley Monroe (“Til It Breaks,” 2021) and beyond. Fostering a relaxed, experimental studio environment, and refusing to chase trends, his diverse background continues to help pull distinctive character out of each artist and songsmith he works alongside.</image:caption>

<image:title>Writer | Sandra McCracken</image:title>
<image:caption>Sandra McCracken is a Grammy nominated and Dove Award winning singer-songwriter and hymn writer from Nashville, Tennessee. A prolific recording artist, McCracken has produced 15 solo albums over two decades. Her best selling release, Psalms (2015), received critical acclaim, followed by God’s Highway (2017) which made the Top 50 on Billboard Heatseekers chart without a major label. She has had songs featured on TV, including “Ten Thousand Angels” on ABC’s Grey’s Anatomy and has over 15 million streams. Blending the old and new, Sandra has also shown a unique ability to recast sacred scripture texts into theologically rich yet accessible songs. Her thoughtful lyrics and gospel melodies in songs like “We Will Feast In The House of Zion,” “Steadfast,” and “Thy Mercy My God” have become staple anthems in churches across the US. As a published writer, she contributes a regular column in Christianity Today and released her first book, “Send Out Your Light”, in 2021 with B&H.</image:caption>
